* CMAKE_COMPILER_IS_*: Replace with CMAKE_<LANG>_COMPILER_IDPeter Kokot2025-03-291-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Variables such as CMAKE_COMPILER_IS_GNUCC are documented as obsolete/deprecated and ideally shouldn't be used in the code anymore to have clearer compiler identifications. In the past QCC compiler was identified as GNU and also had this variable set to 1 (see policy CMP0047). Same still applies for LCC compiler (see policy CMP0129).

* Tests: Bump CMake minimum required in tests to 3.5Brad King2023-03-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CMake 3.27 deprecates compatibility with CMake < 3.5. Update tests that do not cover older interfaces to avoid the deprecation warning. Follow the pattern from: * commit 7b07ccdd2b (Tests/*Only: Update cmake_minimum_required versions, 2020-06-15, v3.19.0-rc1~629^2~1) * commit 72e7c45e98 (Tests: Bump CMake minimum required in tests to 2.8.12, 2020-12-22, v3.20.0-rc1~224^2) * commit f6b4db365a (Tests: bump cmake_minimum_required version to 2.8.12, 2021-04-04, v3.21.0-rc1~372^2) Also remove explicit `cmake_policy` settings made redundant by the version.
* Tests: Bump CMake minimum required in tests to 2.8.12Chuck Atkins2020-12-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | Since 3.19, CMake generates a deprecation warning when using a minimum version less than 2.8.12. This eliminates those warnings generated during tests, which are typically hidden from the user and developer but are being generated nonetheless.

* Revise C++ coding style using clang-formatKitware Robot2016-05-162-6/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Run the `Utilities/Scripts/clang-format.bash` script to update all our C++ code to a new style defined by `.clang-format`. Use `clang-format` version 3.8. * If you reached this commit for a line in `git blame`, re-run the blame operation starting at the parent of this commit to see older history for the content. * See the parent commit for instructions to rebase a change across this style transition commit.
* CheckStructHasMember: Add support for C++Daniele E. Domenichelli2013-10-083-0/+118
Previously if headers required to check if a struct has a member can be compiled with C++ compiler only, the check would fail because the C compiler fails. As a consequence, the result variable would be set to false, even if the struct has that particular member. Teach CHECK_STRUCT_HAS_MEMBER to accept a new optional argument LANGUAGE that allows one to explicitly set the compiler to use. The new signature is therefore: CHECK_STRUCT_HAS_MEMBER (<struct> <member> <header> <variable> [LANGUAGE <language>])
