First, #ifdef'ed out getpwuid_r() and getpwgid_r() usage since users/groups support is not in in single-process Posix mode.
Also, correct a typo and add missing files to io.pri.
Update documentation to disable libtiff which won't compile until ibtiff itself is updated, and add back -no-exceptions in the sample command line. And add a line to compile host tools.
Add a dummy QT_OPEN_LARGEFILE definition in qplatformdefs.h since there is code that requires it.
Move definition of getGlyph() after the definition of qHash(GlyphAndSubPixelPosition).

Move Qt's copy of the Mozilla public suffix list from QtNetwork
to QtCore and use it to expose a new API function QUrl::topLevelDomain().
This function returns the section of the url that is a registrar-controlled
top level domain.
QtCore now exports a couple of functions to the other Qt modules: qTopLevelDomain,
a helper function for QUrl::topLevelDomain(); and qIsEffectiveTLD(), a helper
function for QNetworkCookeieJar.
The motivation for this new API is to allow QtWebKit implement a Third-Party
Cookie blocking policy. For this QtWebKit needs to know the element of the url
that is the registry-controlled TLD. Without this knowledge it would end up
blocking third-party cookies per host rather than per registry-controlled domain.

This patch contains several changes that needed to be done atomically.
The native file path im QFileSystemEntry is changed from 8 bit to 16 bit
character set.
QFsFileEngine has some new symbian specific code (as the unix code does
not compile with the above change), and forwards more calls to the new
QFileSystemEngine.
Unix implementations of link, rename and remove are moved to the unix
version of this class, so less ifdef'ing is needed.
Finally, io.pri now selects the _symbian.cpp source files instead of the
_unix.cpp equivalents when building for symbian.

Added qfilesystemengine_mac to the build system, but hollowed it out.
This way, it is ready for immediate use without having unnecessary stubs
that can be found in the _unix version already.

Since we're refactoring code out of QFSFileEngine the new internal
classes have to be compiled in together with the old engines.
For the time being, we'll assume Mac uses the unix version of the
engine. We'll fork those only if and as needed.

To enable passing socket handles around as integers, need a two way mapping
with RSocket. It's in corelib because of QSocketNotifier.
This is also a convenient place to host the global RSocketServ session.

Avkon dependencies can be configured out with the -no-s60 configure
flag, conversely Qt on Symbian will use Avkon if -s60 is configured.
These changes are intended to keep or introduce binary compatibility
between the s60 and no-s60 configurations. To do this, it has been
necessary to introduce stub equivalents of the CAknAppUi related
classes into the no-s60 configuration, and override all Avkon framework
virtual functions in the QS60Main... classes.
Other than that, these changes are mostly just correcting the use of
the Q_WS_S60 flag so that it only refers to Avkon dependencies.

A frequent bug when using QDataStream across platforms where the size
of qreal is different (such as any desktop platform and an ARM device)
is that you end up using different overloads for streaming the value
in and out (e.g. operator>>(double) on desktop and operator<<(float) on
ARM.)
This can leads to crashes and data corruption. To avoid the problem,
we define a single floating point precision for the entire data stream
and allow this to be set by the user. The default is to use 64-bit
precision for all floating point numbers.

This has been around for a while and really should have been put in
earlier. Mac OS X (client) has a much lower ulimit for open files than
what some other Unix-like OS's have (in defense it does save memory).
However, if you start watching a lot of files, it will start to fall
down. You can adjust the ulimit, but it's a bit inconvenient. FSEvents
watches the directory and notifies you of changes that happen in that
directory (and below, but we don't really use it). It also can be
adjusted for latency so that performance isn't affected by heavy file
system use (but Qt doesn't use that either at the moment). The other
thing is that it doesn't require any open files, so it's much better for
our number of open files. This feature is only on Leopard and up, so
people wanting to deploy Tiger will still have the "open files" problem
to deal with.
There are still some optimizations available in this code. For example,
we could coalesce things down to watch only one high-level directory
without changing much of the implementation. The current implementation
has some very simplistic ways of handling things, but this simplicity
works well. I documented it, so you can see that, yes, I really
meant to do that.
