It's the wrong fix for the problem. The socket operations in the
select thread are not supposed to be thread safe. It is thread safe
between the select thread and the caller thread, but not if there are
more than one caller thread. Ensuring complete thread safety would
probably require fixes in other areas as well.
The correct fix is for the client to ensure that calls to the socket
registering functions are either serialized or contained within one
thread.

If a thread trying to acquire multiple resources is continuously
preempted by threads acquiring smaller amounts, the larger consumer
would end up waiting forever (instead of for the given timeout).
Fix this by keeping track of elapsed time between wakeups using
QElapsedTimer.

Fixes for thai linebreaking
* Load libthai.so.0 since libthai.so is not there on all systems
* Remove dependency on codecs. Unicode->TIS620 is so simple we can
simply hardcode it in harbuzz-thai.c
* Speed up detection of word boundaries
* Falback when libthai is not found is now to not break instead of
breaking after every character (in line with recommendations from
unicode.org linebreaking algorithm)

Similar to commit bc01bb10da23d0d2308cf02a16947be836bc9a21, we need to
avoid starvation of the idle time source by forcing a single, normal
priority pass after processing posted events.

Since "" is an invalid target for a .lnk file,
we can return false for doStat() in case of resolving
the .lnk to "".
Notice that .lnk files only allow absolute paths for the target.
"" is returned by readLink in case the .lnk file does not exist.
