Mirrored character subsitution should be used in right-to-left text
direction unless the font is a symbol font. This patch will keep
this behavior consistent between FreeType, QPF and S60 font engines.
For Mac font engines, the shaping process is delegated to Core Text
or ATSUI, so we don't do mirrored char handling by ourselves.

FT_GlyphSlot_Embolden was introduced since FreeType 2.1.10 and we
started using it since 4.7. Some systems (including RHEL/CentOS 4) only
provide earlier versions will get a compiling error if they use
-system-freetype to build Qt. This patch fix it by providing a graceful
degradation when the function is not available.

In change 889e13652e00ba64060e7b62ed3377ea04d44faa we employed usage
of artificial emboldening of fonts with FreeType when a bold variant
of the font does not exist. This introduced a regression for monospaced
fonts, where the contract says that all glyphs must be the same width.
Since the artificial emboldening algorithm does not support this
contract, it has been turned off for monospaced fonts, reverting to
the old behavior for this particular class of fonts.

When using a reflecting matrix, the determinant will be -1, thus the
call to sqrt() will return NaN. Same fix as in 0fa878c4d2.

There is the problem that Qt displays half width character
(e.g. alphabet) as full width. This is reported in #QTBUG-1726.
This occurs in the following fonts.
- Monospace font
- Selif font
- IPA font (Ver.0301)
- NSimSun
In Cario and fontconfig, the FT_LOAD_IGNORE_GLOBAL_ADVANCE_WIDTH
is specified as flag of FT_Load_Glyph function to solve this problem.
According to the document of freetype, this flag exists to support
buggy CJK fonts.
So this flag is specified as default flag of QFontEngineFT.

QTextEdit (via QTextLayout) and QPlainTextEdit in Qt used to ignore
any font leading but added one extra pixel in QFontMetrics. With many
freetype fonts, this resulted in a "spacy" text layout.
The necessary fixes on X11 and Windows were to take (positive) leading
into account, to make the font database convert point sizes to pixel
sizes without rounding to plain integer values, and to subtract the
extra pixel from QFontMetrics from the font engines' descent value.
The change also fixes several places in styles and widgets, where
QFontMetrics::lineSpacing() was wrongly used instead of
QFontMetrics::height().
Ideally we should also handle negative leading, which would require
additional and bigger code changes in QTextLayout and QPlainTextEdit.
In addition, all other editors we have tested seem to ignore leading on
X11. If we choose to believe the values provided by freetype, our text
layout would be one pixel smaller than everybody else's.
On the Mac, this change does nothing. There our layout is still too spacy,
and for smaller fonts quite ugly compared to native Mac applications.

loadGlyphs() has a big impact on text rendering speed on X11. Removing
the uneeded hash lookup makes this function go twice as fast, as it in
the common case (where the glyphs are already cached) the hash lookups are
100% of the running time of the function.

In older Freetype headers FT_LCD_FILTER_DEFAULT is apparently defined to
be ((const FT_Byte*)(void*)(ft_ptrdiff_t)1), which leads to a compile
error due to precision loss when casting to int.

In 4.4 alphaMapForGlyph() would return valid images for any font size,
but this was changed in 4.5, forcing us to use the path fallback
instead. This lead to non-antialiased fonts when not using a
multisample-enabled GL format. This patch re-introduces the
alphaMapForGlyph() fallback in QFontEngine from 4.4 which uses the
raster paint engine to draw the glyph.
