| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | QFontMetrics::lineWidth() and ::underlinePos() return value 1 regardless of the font size if the size was defined in points (instead of pixels). (On Symbian) QFontMetrics::lineWidth() calls QFontEngine::lineThickness() which uses its fontDef.pixelSize in order to come up with a suitable line width. If the QFont size was defined in points, Qt needs to make sure that fontDef.pixelSize is set accordingly. This patch adds the code to make sure that QFontEngine::fontDef always has a valid pixel size. tst_QFontMetrics::lineWidth() was added, wich failed before and passes after this patch. |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since the Mac font engine has been fixed to support fractional metrics, we can no longer expect qRound(A + B) to be equal to qRound(A) + qRound(B). The documentation states that height = ascent + descent + 1. To honor this contract, we need to rewrite the implementation of height() to round each metric separately. Same with lineSpacing. The bearingIncludedInBoundingrect() test was wrong. We can guarantee that the italic text is not more narrow than the normal text, but we cannot guarantee that they are never the same width. | | | | | | | | | | | | | QFontMetrics::boundingRect() that takes a string needs to account for the right bearing of the last glyph, as it is documented to be the rectangle that contains the pixels of the text. I've added a test for this, and fixed tst_QFontMetrics::elidedText() to use boundingRect() to find the actual width of the text drawn (width() will return the advance of the text, which is larger than the actual width of the pixels.) I've also fixed a small typo in the "len" -> "ilen". Reviewed-by: Simon Hausmann
