From 0382406fccbb31aa993de118b60e7fd4ec264968 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Victor Stinner Date: Thu, 30 Aug 2018 01:21:11 +0200 Subject: Fix TestPosixSpawn.test_close_file() (GH-8992) Modify TestPosixSpawn to run Python using -I and -S options. Disable site module to avoid side effects. For example, on Fedora 28, if the HOME environment variable is not set, site._getuserbase() calls pwd.getpwuid() which opens /var/lib/sss/mc/passwd, but then leaves the file open which makes test_close_file() to fail. --- Lib/test/test_posix.py | 64 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++----------------------- 1 file changed, 34 insertions(+), 30 deletions(-) diff --git a/Lib/test/test_posix.py b/Lib/test/test_posix.py index e569f7a..ac18aa3 100644 --- a/Lib/test/test_posix.py +++ b/Lib/test/test_posix.py @@ -1477,6 +1477,17 @@ class PosixGroupsTester(unittest.TestCase): @unittest.skipUnless(hasattr(os, 'posix_spawn'), "test needs os.posix_spawn") class TestPosixSpawn(unittest.TestCase): + # Program which does nothing and exit with status 0 (success) + NOOP_PROGRAM = (sys.executable, '-I', '-S', '-c', 'pass') + + def python_args(self, *args): + # Disable site module to avoid side effects.
