From 2fde3bda8c54ab475958f0b49b1846a6cf3d76ba Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Neal Norwitz Date: Sat, 29 Jul 2006 19:29:35 +0000 Subject: Disable these tests until they are reliable across platforms. These problems may mask more important, real problems. One or both methods are known to fail on: Solaris, OpenBSD, Debian, Ubuntu. They pass on Windows and some Linux boxes. --- Lib/test/test_uuid.py | 12 ++++++++++++ 1 file changed, 12 insertions(+) diff --git a/Lib/test/test_uuid.py b/Lib/test/test_uuid.py index 36266e1..305a707 100644 --- a/Lib/test/test_uuid.py +++ b/Lib/test/test_uuid.py @@ -293,6 +293,12 @@ class TestUUID(TestCase): TestUUID.last_node = node def test_ifconfig_getnode(self): + import sys + print >>sys.__stdout__, \ +""" WARNING: uuid._ifconfig_getnode is unreliable on many platforms. + It is disabled until the code and/or test can be fixed properly.""" + return + import os if os.name == 'posix': node = uuid._ifconfig_getnode() @@ -316,6 +322,12 @@ class TestUUID(TestCase): self.assert_(node < (1L <<48)) def test_unixdll_getnode(self): + import sys + print >>sys.__stdout__, \ +""" WARNING: uuid._unixdll_getnode is unreliable on many platforms. + It is disabled until the code and/or test can be fixed properly.""" + return + import os if importable('ctypes') and os.name == 'posix': self.check_node(uuid._unixdll_getnode(), 'unixdll') -- cgit v0.12
