[svn-r11396] Purpose:
Code cleanup.
Description:
g++ on sleipnir complained and exited failed because the
malloc statement in ALIGNMENT was not properly casted.
Solution:
added the proper (char * ) casting.
Platforms tested:
Passed heping using gcc.
Sleipnir g++ passed too but that was also because the default development
mode is used.
