[svn-r3020] Purpose:
Code addition
Description:
The dumper needs to know when a datatype needs to be reclaimed, so I
added a small helper function to detect if a particular datatype is or
contains a particular class of datatypes.
Platforms tested:
Linux 2.2.16-3smp (eirene)
