NOTE: These bug fixes but have been applied only to the 1.3 branch per
Albert's request.
./config/gnu-flags [1.3]
Added support for gcc-2.95 by adding full optimization and
debugging flags and applied a patch from Marcus Daniels.
./src/Makefile.in [1.3]
Removes the `libhdf5.settings' file for `make clean'.
