Purpose:
    Bugfixes -- Fixes #657.
                Addresses #720 (but does not complete it).
Description:
    H5Pset_fapl_split:  Added note re checking on use of this driver,
        i.e., that H5Pget_driver returns H5FD_MULTI.
        Fixes Bug #657.
    Minor copy edits, including some addressed in Bug #720.
