| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Bring r19654 from trunk to 1.8 branch: Bring Coverity revisions from branch back to trunk, and clean up some other misc. compiler warnings also. r19500: Fix coverity items 1446 and 1447. Moved up calls to memset in test_cont in ohdr.c so the test never tries to close uninitialized locations. r19501: Fix coverity items 1398-1445. Various uninitialized variable errors in fheap.c. r19502: Fixed coverity issue 579 and some additional warnings in the file as well. r19503: Bug fix: This fix addressed the "RESOURCE_LEAK" problems #789 and 790, run 26 r19504: minor mods to try to keep coverity from flagging false positives. r19505: Fixed coverity issues 566 - 571. Declared variables that are passed to functions that use them as arrays to be arrays of size 1. Tested on: Mac OS X/32 10.6.4 (amazon) w/debug, production & parallel (h5committested on coverity branch)

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Finish deprecating last H5G symbol (H5G_obj_t) - yay! Lots of misc. library fixes to remove confusion between links and objects. * [svn-r12842] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-11-021-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Refactor generic property list initialization code to put property list specific routines in property list modules, instead of scattered to the four winds. Also, introduce property list class initialization objects, to make adding new property list classes in the library easier. Fix daily test failure by using H5Pget_elink_prefix() API routine instead of looking at the "raw" generic property list information. Tested on: Mac OS X/32 10.4.8 (amazon) FreeBSD/32 4.11 (sleipnir) w/threadsafe Linux/32 2.4 (heping) w/C++ & FORTRAN Linux/64 2.4 (mir) w/build-all & 1.6 compat

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Description: Added support for "big" REAL and DOUBLE PRECISION datatypes (i.e. sizes of Fortran real and double precision may be 8 and/or 16 bytes; usually specified by compilers flags like -r8, -r16, -d8, etc.) Solution: Added code to generate all necessary datatypes on a fly. Platforms tested: heping with g95 (-r8, -d8) mir with ifc (-r16, -r8) Note: multi file test failed when REAL is 128 bit. I will address this later. Misc. update:

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Code cleanup Description: Trim trailing whitespace, which is making 'diff'ing the two branches difficult. Solution: Ran this script in each directory: foreach f (*.[ch] *.cpp) sed 's/[[:blank:]]*$//' $f > sed.out && mv sed.out $f end Platforms tested: FreeBSD 4.11 (sleipnir) Too minor to require h5committest
* [svn-r10997] Purpose: Small bug fixElena Pourmal2005-06-281-1/+1

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Description: When compiler flag was used to set the size of Fortran integer to 8 bytes, library would fail. Solution: Cleaned up the code; added detection of Fortran INTEGER type size and appropriately defined int_f type for C-stubs routines. Platforms tested: Solaris 2.8 32 and 64-bit, AIX 5.1 64-bit parallel PGI Fortran with -i8 flag on heping Absoft Fortran with -i8 flag on heping g95 on mir (Fortran integer is 8 bytes by default that cannot be changed - compiler bug ;-) AIX Fortran with -qintsize=8 32 and 64-bit modes on copper Misc. update:

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Configuration feature Description: Fortran integer types (not reals) are now automatically detected at build-time. Solution: Two helper programs are used, one to detect what types the Fortran compiler has access to, and one to generate header files for C and Fortran matching up types. Platforms tested: mir, copper, modi4, pommier (last week) Misc. update: MANIFEST updated, H5f90fortran_types.f90 removed from configure.in, since it is not longer generated by configure.

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Bug Fix/Code Cleanup/Doc Cleanup/Optimization/Branch Sync :-) Description: Generally speaking, this is the "signed->unsigned" change to selections. However, in the process of merging code back, things got stickier and stickier until I ended up doing a big "sync the two branches up" operation. So... I brought back all the "infrastructure" fixes from the development branch to the release branch (which I think were actually making some improvement in performance) as well as fixed several bugs which had been fixed in one branch, but not the other. I've also tagged the repository before making this checkin with the label "before_signed_unsigned_changes". Platforms tested: FreeBSD 4.10 (sleipnir) w/parallel & fphdf5 FreeBSD 4.10 (sleipnir) w/threadsafe FreeBSD 4.10 (sleipnir) w/backward compatibility Solaris 2.7 (arabica) w/"purify options" Solaris 2.8 (sol) w/FORTRAN & C++ AIX 5.x (copper) w/parallel & FORTRAN IRIX64 6.5 (modi4) w/FORTRAN Linux 2.4 (heping) w/FORTRAN & C++ Misc. update:

* [svn-r8781] James Laird2004-07-011-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Purpose: HDF5 now supports SZIP with no encoder. Description: SZIP can be configured to have both encoder and decoder or just to have the decoder. HDF5 can now query the configuration of any filter, and will throw errors if users try to write using a filter with encoding disabled. Solution: Added H5Zget_filter_info function, changed API for H5Pget_filter and H5P_get_filter_by_id. See SZIP RFC. Platforms tested: Copper (fortran, C++, parallel), Sleipnir (C++), Arabica (fortran, C++), Verbena (fortran, C++) Misc. update:
