* [svn-r19158] Description:Quincey Koziol2010-07-301-3/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Bring r19156 from trunk to 1.8 branch: Bring revisions from Coverity branch back to trunk: r19044: Coverity #449 - Line 1560 called function H5O_chunk_protect for 2 pointers to allocate. But when there's failure on the second one, the first wasn't freed (H5O_chunk_unprotect). We fixed it by freeing the pointers when an error happens. r19045: Fixed coverity issue # 319. Free sec_node in done if it is not NULL. r19046: Add intended but missing assignments to initialize pointers to NULL (coverity issue fixes). r19049: Hdf5_1_8_coverity branch was recreated from hdf5_1_8 branch in revision 18839 without fix for Coverity issue #84 having been propagated to the hdf5_1_8 branch. This revision adds the fix again. r19060: added parentheses to see if they will keep subversion from getting confused r19061: Fix coverity item 139. Fixed incorrect condition for freeing buffer on error. Fix coverity items 20 and 21. Removed unused NTESTS facility from dtypes.c. Cleanup in H5Shyper.c. r19062: Fix coverity item 450. Check to see if chk_proxy has been allocated before attempting to free it. Fix coverity item 454. Check to see if allocation of buf failed in H5D_fill_refill_vl. Fix coverity items 455-457. Initilize hid_t's to -1, check their value before attempting to close them, and check if the close failed. r19063: New fix to address coverity issue #84. Check that pointers in H5Z_xform_find_type are not NULL before passing them to H5T_cmp. Tested on: Mac OS X/32 10.6.4 (amazon) w/debug & production (h5committested on Coverity branch)

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Bring r18346 from trunk to 1.8 branch: Bring Coverity fixes back from branch to trunk: r18336: Fix coverity issues 275, 276, 277, 323, 432, 433, and 434 r18337: Fix Coverity issue #106: release free space section node on error r18338: Fixed Coverity #94 - In H5P_register, new_class wasn't closed when there's an error after it's created. r18339: Fix Coverity #185 - In test_conv_str_1, BUF wasn't freed when there's an error in this function. r18340: Correct error in r18337 that wasn't releasing indirect fractal heap block early enough. r18341: Close nodes if any failed in the middle of allocating new nodes. Coverity 140 and 141 r18342: Correct [another] problem w/r18337. r18343: Fix coverity items 185, 20, and 21. r18344: Fix Coverity 213 - In H5FD_family_close, the double pointer file->memb was dereferenced without NULL checking (We believe). r18345: Fix Coverity issue # 210; removed NULL check after pointer dereferenced in H5HFdblock.c. Also assigned NULL to pointer in H5Pint.c to fix segmentation fault. Tested on: FreeBSD/32 6.3 (duty) w/debug) (h5committested on trunk)

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Bring r16306 back from trunk: Add detection of C99 "designated initializers" to configure script and use new H5_HAVE_C99_DESIGNATED_INITIALIZER macro to conditionally compile default layout variables in src/H5Pdcpl.c Also, minor code cleanups, etc. Tested on: FreeBSD/32 6.3 (duty) in debug mode (Other platforms tested on revise_chunks branch)
* [svn-r15629] Description:Quincey Koziol2008-09-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove trailing whitespace from C/C++ source files, with the following script: foreach f (*.[ch] *.cpp) sed 's/[[:blank:]]*$//' $f > sed.out && mv sed.out $f end Tested on: Mac OS X/32 10.5.5 (amazon) No need for h5committest, just whitespace changes...
* [svn-r13750] Description:Quincey Koziol2007-05-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Various minor cleanups found while working on the "unique, but sharable" ISOHM changes. Tested on: Mac OS X/32 10.4.9 (amazon) FreeBSD/32 6.2 (duty)
* [svn-r13253] Updated all C and C++ style source code files with the THG ↵Albert Cheng2007-02-071-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | copyright notice. Tested platform: Kagiso only since it is only a comment block change. If it works in one machine, it should work in all, I hope. Still need to check the parallel build on copper.
* [svn-r13067] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-12-181-9/+59
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add [quite] limited ability to update (ie. write) data for objects in fractal heap. Limited to just updating objects in managed heap blocks (i.e. not 'tiny' or 'huge' objects) and must be updated with data of the same length as the object in the heap. Updating objects in compressed heaps does work though [as long as the data isn't 'tiny' or 'huge']. Needed for changing the data value or the name of an attribute that is stored in dense or shared storage. Tested on: Linux/32 2.6 (chicago) Linux/64 2.6 (chicago2)
* [svn-r13028] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-12-061-11/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add first pass of "dense" attribute storage to objects. Lots of parts of this are stubbed out, but all the tests are passing and I'll work on the corner cases soon. Eliminated several unused parameters from object header message callback routines. Other, miscellaneous code cleanups, etc. (and probably some things I've forgotten about... :-) Tested on: FreeBSD/32 4.11 (sleipnir) Linux/32 2.4 (heping) AIX/32 5.? (copper)
* [svn-r12823] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-10-291-17/+13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Add support for compress heap blocks in "managed" heaps. Also, fix bug when the first direct block moves between having a parent and not having one (and vice versa), which occurs when the heap moves between having a direct root block and having an indirect root block. Tested on: FreeBSD 4.11 (sleipnir) w/threadsafe Linux/32 2.4 (heping) w/C++ & FORTRAN Linux/64 2.4 (mir) w/build-all & 1.6 compat
* [svn-r12663] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-09-121-43/+29
| | | | | | | | | Don't protect direct block when removing object from managed heap blocks - all the information we need is available without the extra I/O. Tested on: Linux/32 2.6 (chicago) Linux/64 2.6 (chicago2)
* [svn-r12655] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-09-111-9/+91
| | | | | | | | | | | | Add "op" routine to perform operation on heap object "in situ", to allow for faster operations on dense links during B-tree traversal & lookup. Refactor the "read" routine to use the internal version of the "op" routine, to keep the code duplication as low as possible. Tested on: Mac OS X.4/PPC (amazon) Linux/32 2.6 (chicago) Linux/64 2.6 (chicago2)
* [svn-r12603] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-08-211-2/+50
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add a bunch more regression tests: - Verify opening a fractal heap more than once works correctly - Check that 0 & 1-sized object insertions are handled correctly - Check that bad heap IDs are detected when attempting to read an object - Check that doubling tables with different parameter values are working correctly Add some more checks to the code to detect 0-sized object insertions and bad heap IDs for reading. Tested On: FreeBSD/32 4.11 (sleipnir) Linux/32 2.4 (heping) Linux/64 2.4 (mir) Solaris/64 2.9 (shanti)
* [svn-r12598] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-08-191-144/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Migrate "direct block location" routine from H5HFman.c to H5HFdblock.c, which is a more appropriate location - Optimize performance of heap code by taking advantage of pinned indirect blocks and use them without putting a metadata cache protect/unprotect pair around them. - Other minor compiler warning cleanups and optimizations... Tested On: FreeBSD/32 4.11 (sleipnir) Linux/64 2.4 (mir) Solaris/64 2.9 (shanti)
* [svn-r12592] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-08-171-1/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Several changes, all mooshed together: - Add support for "tiny" objects - which can be stored in the heap ID itself, instead of in the heap data blocks. - Flesh out support for compressed direct blocks, but comment it out until John's got some metadata cache changes in place to support it. - Add support for applying I/O pipeline filters to 'huge' objects - Refactor 'huge' object code to store information for 'huge' objects directly in the heap ID, when there are I/O pipeline filters applied to the heap (and the heap ID is large enough to hold the information) - Update h5debug tool to correctly handle 'huge' & 'tiny' objects. - Misc. other code cleanups, etc. Tested on: FreeBSD/32 4.11 (sleipnir) Linux/64 2.4 (mir) Solaris/64 2.9 (shanti)
* [svn-r12571] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-08-131-2/+30
| | | | | | | | | | | Fix failure in "remove bogus ID" test which turned up randomly (due to random "bogus" IDs being used in test :-) by adding some more defensive checks on object IDs to the object removal code. Tested on: FreeBSD 4.11 (sleipnir) Linux/64 2.4 (mir) Solaris/64 (shanti)
* [svn-r12568] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-08-121-0/+592
Rename some files, to better align with the names of the functions within them. Tested on: FreeBSD 4.11 (sleipnir) Too minor to require h5committest
