* VFD SWMR: Merges from develop (#1670)Dana Robinson2022-04-211-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | * Cleans up SWMR test scripts (both legacy and VFD) * Brings over format source changes for Java * Normalization of HL, Fortran, C++, Java w/ develop * Removes the STATIC flavor of FUNC_ENTER macros (#1622) * Removes the STATIC flavor of FUNC_ENTER macros * Remove H5_NO_ALIGNMENT_RESTRICTIONS (#1426) * Do not conditionally compile code that uses a pointer dereference and assignment to copy a potentially unaligned variable to aligned automatic storage, or vice versa. Instead, always use naked `memcpy(3)`s. Disassembling the generated code reveals that the `memcpy(3)`s optimize (`-O3`) to a single `mov` instruction for x86_64, which is not strict about alignment. This change reduces the size of code and scripts by 143 lines, eases our way to cross-compilation, and avoids invoking undefined behavior. * Committing clang-format changes * Per discussion, use HD and add comments. | | | | | | | | | | hdf5_1_10 * commit '54957d37f5aa73912763dbb6e308555e863c43f4': Commit copyright header change for src/H5PLpkg.c which was added after running script to make changes. Add new files in release_docs to MANIFEST. Cimmit changes to Makefile.in(s) and H5PL.c that resulted from running autogen.sh. Merge pull request #407 in HDFFV/hdf5 from ~LRKNOX/hdf5_lrk:hdf5_1_10_1 to hdf5_1_10_1 Change copyright headers to replace url referring to file to be removed and replace it with new url for COPYING file.

* [svn-r21919] Description:Quincey Koziol2012-02-091-7/+7
| | | | | | | | Refactor function name macros and simplify the FUNC_ENTER macros, to clear away the cruft and prepare for further cleanups. Tested on: Mac OSX/64 10.7.3 (amazon) w/debug, production & parallel
* [svn-r15628] Description:Quincey Koziol2008-09-161-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove trailing whitespace from C/C++ source files, with the following script: foreach f (*.[ch] *.cpp) sed 's/[[:blank:]]*$//' $f > sed.out && mv sed.out $f end Tested on: Mac OS X/32 10.5.5 (amazon) No need for h5committest, just whitespace changes...

* [svn-r14353] Description:Quincey Koziol2007-12-201-0/+33
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Add hash value for skip list string types, to reduce # of string comparisons. - Fixed bug with metadata/small data block aggregator adding size == 0 block into file free space list. - Refactored metadata/small data block aggregator code into single set of common routines. - Changed block aggregator code to be smarter about releasing space in the 'other' block when the 'other' block has aggregated enough data. Tested on: FreeBSD/32 6.2 (duty) in debug mode FreeBSD/64 6.2 (liberty) w/C++ & FORTRAN, in debug mode Linux/32 2.6 (kagiso) w/PGI compilers, w/C++ & FORTRAN, w/threadsafe, in debug mode Linux/64-amd64 2.6 (smirom) w/default API=1.6.x, w/C++ & FORTRAN, in production mode Linux/64-ia64 2.6 (cobalt) w/Intel compilers, w/C++ & FORTRAN, in production mode Solaris/32 2.10 (linew) w/deprecated symbols disabled, w/C++ & FORTRAN, w/szip filter, in production mode Mac OS X/32 10.4.10 (amazon) in debug mode Linux/64-ia64 2.4 (tg-login3) w/parallel, w/FORTRAN, in production mode
* [svn-r13253] Updated all C and C++ style source code files with the THG ↵Albert Cheng2007-02-071-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | copyright notice. Tested platform: Kagiso only since it is only a comment block change. If it works in one machine, it should work in all, I hope. Still need to check the parallel build on copper.
* [svn-r12768] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-10-161-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | Add 'initval' parameter to "lookup3" checksum routine (and implicitly to the metadata checksum routine), to allow chaining several checksums together easily (which isn't used by these modules, but will be used in my next checkin) Tested on: Linux/32 2.6 (chicago) Linux/64 2.6 (chicago2)
* [svn-r12661] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-09-121-10/+182
| | | | | | | | | | | Add 'loookup3' checksum routine and switch to using it for metadata checksums - it's just as "strong" as the CRC32 and about 40% faster in general (with some compiler optimizations, it's nearly as fast as the fletcher-32 algorithm). Tested on: Linux/32 2.6 (chicago) Linux/64 2.6 (chicago2)
* [svn-r12649] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-09-051-9/+124
| | | | | | | | | | | | Add a CRC algorithm to the library, initially for "small" (<256 byte) metadata blocks. Update checksum tests to verify it's working correctly. Tested: Linux/32 2.6 (chicago) Linux/64 2.6 (chicago2) (Will be testing on more platforms after checkin)
* [svn-r12612] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-08-221-0/+35
| | | | | | | | | | Provide more abstract internal routine for computing checksums on metadata in a file. This will allow a unified policy on which algorithm to choose and under what criteria (length probably) to be more easily maintained. Tested On: Linux/32 2.6 (chicago) Linux/64 2.6 (chicago2)
* [svn-r12607] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-08-221-2/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | Tweak the library's new faster fletcher32 algorithm to always produce the same checksum as the previous fletcher32 code in the fletcher32 I/O pipeline filter and switch the filter to use the library's version of the algorithm. Tested on: Linux/32 2.6 (chicago) Linux/64 2.6 (chicago2) Too minor to require h5committest
* [svn-r12606] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-08-221-19/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | Switch to somewhat less high performance checksum implementation that doesn't run into problems for mis-aligned buffers in memory. Tested On: FreeBSD/32 4.11(sleipnir) Linux/32 2.4 (heping) Linux/64 2.4 (mir) Solaris/64 2.9 (shanti)
* [svn-r12605] Description:Quincey Koziol2006-08-211-0/+145
Break out a bunch of the misc. routines that were in src/H5.c into more specific modules. Add optimized fletcher32 checksum routine, for checksumming metadata as well as raw data. Tested On: Linux/32 2.6 (chicago) Linux/64 2.6 (chicago2) Will test further after checkin...
