From 0cf2a97cfbb6261cea3645d9109a7313e8bb9f5a Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Mike McGreevy Date: Thu, 15 Apr 2010 16:17:22 -0500 Subject: [svn-r18579] Purpose: Autotool Upgrade / Libtool Bug Fix Description: Updated autotools referenced in bin/reconfigure as follows: Autoconf 2.64 --> Autoconf 2.65 Automake 1.11 --> Automake 1.11.1 Libtool 2.2.6a --> Libtool 2.2.6b-mcg The referenced libtool version is a custom version of 2.2.6b. It has been tweaked to fix a bug in libtool that occurs when using PGI 10.0 compilers. A check incorrectly categorizes the C++ compiler as version 1.0 instead of 10.0, and the link line is subsequently set up incorrectly and fails to compile. A patch has been made available and will be included in the next release of libtool, but in the meantime I've applied the patch to a custom installation as indicated above. This bin/reconfigure now references the custom installation, and the resulting configure script will correctly categorize the PGI 10.0 C++ compiler. Ran bin/reconfigure to regenerate configure and makefiles. Tested: jam and amani with PGI 10.0 compilers. h5committest --- Makefile.in | 17 +-- aclocal.m4 | 24 ++-- bin/ltmain.sh | 16 +-- bin/reconfigure | 22 ++-- c++/Makefile.in | 6 +- c++/examples/Makefile.in | 2 +- c++/src/Makefile.in | 2 +- c++/test/Makefile.in | 2 +- configure | 265 ++++++++++++++++++++++------------------ examples/Makefile.in | 2 +- fortran/Makefile.in | 6 +- fortran/examples/Makefile.in | 2 +- fortran/src/Makefile.in | 2 +- fortran/test/Makefile.in | 2 +- fortran/testpar/Makefile.in | 2 +- hl/Makefile.in | 6 +- hl/c++/Makefile.in | 6 +- hl/c++/examples/Makefile.in | 2 +- hl/c++/src/Makefile.in | 2 +- hl/c++/test/Makefile.in | 2 +- hl/examples/Makefile.in | 2 +- hl/fortran/Makefile.in | 6 +- hl/fortran/examples/Makefile.in | 2 +- hl/fortran/src/Makefile.in | 2 +- hl/fortran/test/Makefile.in | 2 +- hl/src/Makefile.in | 2 +- hl/test/Makefile.in | 2 +- hl/tools/Makefile.in | 6 +- hl/tools/gif2h5/Makefile.in | 2 +- perform/Makefile.in | 2 +- release_docs/RELEASE.txt | 3 + src/H5config.h.in | 2 +- src/Makefile.in | 42 +++---- test/Makefile.in | 2 +- testpar/Makefile.in | 2 +- tools/Makefile.in | 6 +- tools/h5copy/Makefile.in | 2 +- tools/h5diff/Makefile.in | 2 +- tools/h5dump/Makefile.in | 2 +- tools/h5import/Makefile.in | 2 +- tools/h5jam/Makefile.in | 2 +- tools/h5ls/Makefile.in | 2 +- tools/h5repack/Makefile.in | 2 +- tools/h5stat/Makefile.in | 2 +- tools/lib/Makefile.in | 2 +- tools/misc/Makefile.in | 2 +- 46 files changed, 265 insertions(+), 230 deletions(-) diff --git a/Makefile.in b/Makefile.in index 3f30707..2f426f6 100644 --- a/Makefile.in +++ b/Makefile.in @@ -1,4 +1,4 @@ -# Makefile.in generated by automake 1.11 from Makefile.am. +# Makefile.in generated by automake 1.11.1 from Makefile.am. # @configure_input@ # Copyright (C) 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, @@ -470,7 +470,7 @@ distclean-libtool: # (which will cause the Makefiles to be regenerated when you run `make'); # (2) otherwise, pass the desired values on the `make' command line. $(RECURSIVE_TARGETS): - @failcom='exit 1'; \ + @fail= failcom='exit 1'; \ for f in x $$MAKEFLAGS; do \ case $$f in \ *=* | --[!k]*);; \ @@ -495,7 +495,7 @@ $(RECURSIVE_TARGETS): fi; test -z "$$fail" $(RECURSIVE_CLEAN_TARGETS): - @failcom='exit 1'; \ + @fail= failcom='exit 1'; \ for f in x $$MAKEFLAGS; do \ case $$f in \ *=* | --[!k]*);; \ @@ -659,7 +659,8 @@ distdir: $(DISTFILES) fi; \ done -test -n "$(am__skip_mode_fix)" \ - || find "$(distdir)" -type d ! -perm -777 -exec chmod a+rwx {} \; -o \ + || find "$(distdir)" -type d ! -perm -755 \ + -exec chmod u+rwx,go+rx {} \; -o \ ! -type d ! -perm -444 -links 1 -exec chmod a+r {} \; -o \ ! -type d ! -perm -400 -exec chmod a+r {} \; -o \ ! -type d ! -perm -444 -exec $(install_sh) -c -m a+r {} {} \; \ @@ -703,17 +704,17 @@ dist dist-all: distdir distcheck: dist case '$(DIST_ARCHIVES)' in \ *.tar.gz*) \ - GZIP=$(GZIP_ENV) gunzip -c $(distdir).tar.gz | $(am__untar) ;;\ + GZIP=$(GZIP_ENV) gzip -dc $(distdir).tar.gz | $(am__untar) ;;\ *.tar.bz2*) \ - bunzip2 -c $(distdir).tar.bz2 | $(am__untar) ;;\ + bzip2 -dc $(distdir).tar.bz2 | $(am__untar) ;;\ *.tar.lzma*) \ - unlzma -c $(distdir).tar.lzma | $(am__untar) ;;\ + lzma -dc $(distdir).tar.lzma | $(am__untar) ;;\ *.tar.xz*) \ xz -dc $(distdir).tar.xz | $(am__untar) ;;\ *.tar.Z*) \ uncompress -c $(distdir).tar.Z | $(am__untar) ;;\ *.shar.gz*) \ - GZIP=$(GZIP_ENV) gunzip -c $(distdir).shar.gz | unshar ;;\ + GZIP=$(GZIP_ENV) gzip -dc $(distdir).shar.gz | unshar ;;\ *.zip*) \ unzip $(distdir).zip ;;\ esac diff --git a/aclocal.m4 b/aclocal.m4 index 4a9e5c2..43b002c 100644 --- a/aclocal.m4 +++ b/aclocal.m4 @@ -1,4 +1,4 @@ -# generated automatically by aclocal 1.11 -*- Autoconf -*- +# generated automatically by aclocal 1.11.1 -*- Autoconf -*- # Copyright (C) 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, # 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 Free Software Foundation, Inc. @@ -13,8 +13,8 @@ m4_ifndef([AC_AUTOCONF_VERSION], [m4_copy([m4_PACKAGE_VERSION], [AC_AUTOCONF_VERSION])])dnl -m4_if(m4_defn([AC_AUTOCONF_VERSION]), [2.64],, -[m4_warning([this file was generated for autoconf 2.64. +m4_if(m4_defn([AC_AUTOCONF_VERSION]), [2.65],, +[m4_warning([this file was generated for autoconf 2.65.
